Here & Now
I spent a couple of hours at a local homeless shelter. I was taking reference images for a portrait project, and this gentleman offered to sit for me.
Shy and quiet, courteous and polite. He had the most wonderful expressive milky green & brown eyes, so I chose to crop his face harshly to focus on his expression.
It could equally be one of sadness...or hope.
